Whole House To Do List: Listy vonListenberg

So the honey do list. The house is in good shape. It really is. But to make it feel like it's mine? I gotta do my thang. If you missed the big news, We Bought a House! You can read about the process here and here as well.

For Listy vonListenberg:

Curb appeal and the outside of the house:

Paint the garage door white or maybe gel stain to look like wood
Clean up the walk-way with new plantings and lighting
Possibly remove the arbor and move it to the back
Green up the lawn (as possible as it is in Florida)
Decide trim and shutter colors
(I've always loved a brick house with white trim, black shutters, and a red door.)
Trim back the trellises or remove altogether.
Power wash the drive way.
Repair the driveway.

Living room:

Paint the walls (fading from the sun means we have to paint).

Build or buy an entertainment center for the TV wall
Find a colorful rug
Never, ever cover up the French doors leading to the screened in patio

Formal Dining:

Remove the wall between the formal dining and breakfast nook.
Patch the floor and ceiling
Replace the light fixture
Paint the walls

Breakfast nook:

Remove the wall on the right side between formal dining and breakfast nook
Patch the floor and ceiling
Remove the built in desk area
Purchase or build a floating faux-denza on the left wall
Possibly make a seating area or window seat in the bump out
(I'm concerned the area will be awkwardly shaped once the wall is down)
Paint the walls
Replace the light fixture
Make Roman shades(?) to capitalize on that fantastic view

Paint the cabinets and replace hardware
Remove that fake header about the sink
Replace dishwasher
Remove the cabinets above the oven
Patch the ceiling
Replace the vent hood with something that floats (?)
Purchase or make a window treatment
Replace light fixture
Purchase a pretty rug for the sink area
New countertops
Paint the walls
Install a backsplash

Another view of the kitchen from the breakfast nook. I CANNOT WAIT to remove those upper cabinets!

Laundry/Pantry room:

Possibly re-work the storage system, but not until I've lived there at least 6 months to see if it works.

Master Bedroom:

Paint the walls
Replace the light fixture

Master Bathroom:

Paint the walls
Window treatments
Purchase new towels
Replace the light fixtures
Live with the mirrors or repaint them
Replace countertops

Hall bathroom:

Replace light fixtures
Paint walls
New towels
Replace countertops, sinks, and fixtures

Kids' bedroom:

They have requested to share the bedroom...we shall see
Replace light fixture
Paint the walls
Window treatments
Purchase bunk beds that convert into 2 beds
Purchase dressers
Closet organization system

My craft room (possibly a kids bedroom in the future):

Paint the walls
Replace light fixture
Window treatments
Pretty rug?
Install open floating shelving above the desk

Teensy 4th bedroom:

Buy a bed for guests
Replace light fixture

Screened in patio:

Purchase patio furniture
Purchase a grill
Paint the trim and doors
Purchase outdoor rug
Replace light fixture
Paint the concrete floor?
Make a cool plant feature wall
Add outdoor curtain treatments to make it feel like an oasis

Have the trees checked for health
Lay sod?
Trim up over growth
Plant some flowers
Repaint the swing

Back side of house:

Paint trim white?
Plant some flowers

There you go! Obviously this is going to take years to complete and some of the items are wishes, not needs. Listy vonListenberg is pretty long, but I think we are up to it. We plan to stay here for quite some time, so I'm very excited to turn this into a beautiful home! Any feedback is greatly appreciated as we are very much newbies at house stuff.
